The Deputy Principal is a vital role on the Senior Leadership Team, primarily responsible for assisting the Principal in the comprehensive management, strategic direction, and daily operations of the school. This person is expected to drive high standards in teaching and learning, curriculum development, and staff performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence. Crucially, the Deputy Principal acts with full authority as the Principal in their absence, ensuring stable, consistent leadership and management across all areas of school life.
This role requires an inspirational and strategic leader with strong communication and administrative capabilities. They will oversee student welfare and behaviour management, working to maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for every student. The Deputy Principal will play a key role in developing and mentoring staff, coordinating school development plans, and actively engaging with students, parents, and the wider Yangon community to champion the school's mission and values.

Responsibilities
- Act on behalf of the Principal when they are absent.

Must Have
- Proven senior school leadership experience.
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent degree.
- Proficient in speaking and writing English.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate staff.
- High level of professionalism and work ethic.
Nice to have
- Experience with the Pearson or Cambridge curriculum.
- Prior experience in an international school.
- Training in staff performance evaluation.
- A Master's Degree in education or leadership.
